Three decades

Turning 30 today…

It’s not really bothering me to be no longer in my twenties, especially not since finding the girl I am going to marry! However I can’t shake the feeling that I may have squandered some time, money and certainly some of my health. I am desperately trying to get back on track with two of those, but how do you reclaim time You can’t, and if you try to make up for it by cramming more life into the time you have now you end up just wasting more time cause you aren’t really savouring it.

We’ve made some big plans for the next couple of years in our life, and I am just hoping that we haven’t bitten off more than we can chew and maybe some help from family and friends will be all we need.

I went for a run this morning, it felt good, but damn do I need an actual pair of running shoes!  I feel like I am starting off my thirties on the right foot, no pun intended…

iPod

freepayorderWell, I finally got all my referrals, order form and whatnots approved by Freepay, and placed my order for a free iPod! Hopefully it comes before Laine and I’s vacation! I am tempted to try out for some other freepay items as well!

When (if) I get the iPod I will post some photos of the packaging and whatnot for proof but from the research i have done it seems the outfit is legit. Now I just have to figure out what I want to try for next, although they have upped the number of referrals required, I think iPod’s went from 5 to ten right after I joined the site. I can’t really see me needing a PSP or new gaming system, we just got a new camera, although I suppose a second one wouldn’t hurt….

I decided to go for the PSP, although I won’t be pushing family and friends as much for this one, my referral link is http://psps.freepay.com/?r=31512549 please sign up! ;)

Beach Mix

Laine and I spent the day at Lakeside yesterday and hung out with friends and their kids. Before the others showed up though we went for a stroll down the beach and then laid down up in the dunes. While Laine read a book, I started looking at the plants about and looked up this interesting character:Sea Rocket

It grows on sandy beaches above the high tide mark and grows in clusters. The leaves taste peppery, and sort of reminiscent of radishes, the newer the leaf the milder the taste. The older leaves were quite strong tasting but would make excellent seasoning for soups or stews! The photo I downloaded from the internet as I didn’t have my camera with me but i may try and replace this photo with one of my own the next time I get out to the north shore.
