Yayyy! Sixfoot6 finally is relaunched after what seemed like an eternity. And like always, Ryan’s designs seem to almost perfectly blend content with an aesthetically pleasing layout.

In the tradition of American Grafitti Pop (I always mix those names up), The Lord of the Rings, Waking Life, the TV series Delta State and others, this animated movie is based on live action actors who are recorded normally and then animated afterwords. Visually the style is certainly eye catching, I just hope the story doesn’t get buried in the visual gimmickry because Dick’s stories have continually impressed me, even though I haven’t read as many of them as I would like to.
The official philip K Dick website has more news and links to articles on the movie adaption, I am going to do some more reading before making any predictions on how the film will turn out. One just hopes they chose the animated style to compliment the story, not just cause it’s ‘cool’, cause that usually ends up competing with the story…
Bloggers who style themselves as journalists:
God! You people and your pseudo journalistic cult drive me nuts! You are not the future of journalism, and here’s why: YOU ARE NOT F*CKING JOURNALISTS! You are geeks sitting in front of a computer sifting through the internets news sites, other blogs, forumns, and various websites regurgitating the news aquired by professional journalists and aggregating them. The few ‘news stories’ actually broken by bloggers are merely the exception that proves the rule. Blogging and the internet does provide a platform and means to ‘become your own newspaper’ if you really wanted to, but 99.9% of bloggers are not going to pursue real journalism as a means of providing content for their blogs, it’s be a full-time job that you wouldn’t get paid for…, not that some folks aren’t trying an even more ballsy move.
Apple fanatics:
OK, I am going to get a lot of heat for this one… but come down of your goddamn high horse. Your Apple is not as great as you think it is. What it’s great at it’s really great at, but that’s it.
Linux fanatics:
OK, I am going to get a lot of heat for this one… but come down off your high horse. Linux is not for everyone. My parents do not want Linux on their internet browsing, e-mail sending ancient IBM. They don’t want to be able to control every aspect of their machine or customize it to their needs. They don’t want to have to learn about each programs technical requirements, settings and options before installing it. And quit dumping on products like Linspire. Just becuase it’s a “windowized version” of Linux doesn’t really make it less secure and stable. It’s got the security of Linux and the dummy interface of Windows, and that is vitally necessary….
Chronic grammar flouters:
Did you know that you don’t have to spell everything phonetically, use made up words, ignore puntuation adn grammar rules to sound cool and hip? Proper english is way cooler, and more emotive, than internet-speak.
Oversensitive Americans:
Dudes, your country has earned it’s despised status in the world view, accept it, stop trying to rationalize it, turn tables on the rest of the world, bring up WW2 (you helped win it you didn’t win it for the rest of the world, if Canada wasn’t involved Germany may have won, if the Russians weren’t involved Germany probably would have won, if UK weren’t involved the Nazi’s probably would have won…) and generally act like your country hasn’t and isn’t doing anything wrong.
Internet know-it-alls:
Internet forumns used to be sites I frequented, car forumns, regional forumns, art forumns, etc… But I began to notice a certain trend in forumn posting that the most ignorant people seemed determined to argue the hardest, and trying to reason with these idiots made any forumn I used to love seem irritating and a waste of time.
Comment Spam:
I don’t know why, but I find comment spam to be the most detestable form of spam. Maybe it’s becasue e-mail spam is like junk mail delivered to your mailbox, it’s delivered to you alone and you can simply delete/thow it away without anyone seeing it. But comment spam, that akin to companies coming and spray-painting ads on the side of your house. It feels more personal more like a violation, and until you remove it from your site it’s there for all of internetdom to see.
Anyways, just a list of things that bug me, hopefully It’ll get a rise outta a few people who fall into those categories (come on apple freaks, try me!)
