In a not too surprising next step in their desktop evolution, the new Apple G5 is just a panel with all the guts behind a flat screen display.
edit:
My follow up to Pat’s comment: (I agree with Pat that it is a very nice computer)
It was just a matter of time before they took the keyboard off a laptop and replaced it with the display and called it a desktop. In that sense Apple doesn’t truly make desktop computers anymore, and haven’t done so in a few years, as their machines are small, hard to upgrade, next to impossible to customize (Hardware wise) and impossible to expand; just like a laptop. Mind you what they do they do well, and the typical (modern) Apple user does not really tend to be the type to open up their case and add a second HD or replace their video card. No, the typical new Apple owner just buys the computer and uses it, hopefully not ever calling tech support or worrying about upgrades. And (in my opinon) as much as Apple computer’s are very asthetically pleasing, they are also desined to blend in with your rooms/offices background when not in use, reinforcing this notion.
